Sonja Hinrichsen before creating the image of snow in New York, Colorado and Hayden in recent years.Hinrichsen, 44, came from Germany. He arrived in California in 1999 for graduate school in the San Francisco Art Institute.
The first snow pictures inspire Hinrichsen in 2009 while working at Anderson Ranch near Aspen. He was inspired by the animal tracks in the snow mega broad canvas in high mountain meadows.
He created his first spiral at Lake Tahoe. Over time, he began to get around, drawing a sketch on paper.
But the concept is often changed due to his efforts is a direct response to the environment, and snow behave differently depending on the humidity, depth and texture.
"Pictures of Snow last brief. Could be two to three hours, or two or three days, "he said.
