WASHINGTON - A robot named Simon, has the ability to learn any task he was told.
Simon, first introduced to the public at the Human Computer Interaction Conference (CHI) in Atlanta last week. This is a smart robot robotics project developed by scientists in laboratories Socially Intelligent Machines, Georgia Institute of Technology.
"We are very interested in the field of machine learning algorithms in which we do not have the real experts to interact," said Andrea Thomaz.
Thomaz and his team developed a robot that can be used at home and not have to be reprogrammed with a series of tasks.

Thomaz said, one of the biggest challenges in developing Simon is designing the system integration. "We use the OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision) and a voice recognition system," he said.
