"Just like today, people are always wanting to connect with one another. This is an expression of identity for the community at a very early period when the written language has not been created, "he added.

Just like Facebook, this archaeological site to invite public comment. Variations of both reflection and interpretation of images re-apply as call and response. This communication applies to groups of hunters from hundreds to thousands of years ago.

"Similar to Facebook, the status of inviting comments. This rock art seems very social and invited to add, "said Sapwell.

Observed two ancient sites in Russia and the Zalavruga Namforsen in northern Sweden. Both contain 2500 images.

Researchers also found prehistoric art has also developed into a "mobile". Starting from the stone to appear in some of the tools such as knife handles and pot.

"These sites are located on the river network. Boat transportation is estimated to be Bronze Age, "added Sapwell.
Sapwell learned the art of stone near the rapids and waterfalls. This place is likely to be the location of the cave man to leave the river and walk around.
"This is the natural place to stop and leave footprints when you travel, a sort of artistic substation," said Sapwell.
